Bethel Junior High School is one of the schools in the Bethel School District in Pierce County, Washington founded back in 1958, and was rebuilt in 1992. Usually around 980 students attend the school, with at least 30% of the school being non-white. [2]

some days at around 1:30 PM the classrooms of this school tune on their TV's for students to receive daily news, much like morning announcements but executed by students in the video room as a school-wide news channel.
Studio B is a news broadcast by two to three students. Since it is live, there is no editing. The way the show is filmed and televised is operated by the students in the technical room, where announcements are typed on a screen for newscasters to read from. The student producer coordinates and guides the actions of two camera-holding people, while a prompter operator, an audio technician, and three on-air talents carry out everything else. [3]
Every other Tuesday is advisory, also called D.A.W.G. Time. Advisory is created for three main reasons:
Culture Fair is an event when 8th grade students show off their board projects about their own cultural heritage and family history, viewed by themselves, adults, and the public. Activities like dances, videos, music, food, and outside displays are hosted at the fair. Students are given several months to complete the project, though some kids are reluctant due to the massive amounts of effort and time that must be put into the project. [5]
